About the Organisation
The Authority is a Crown entity, responsible for the safety and security of New Zealand’s civil aviation system. The Authority has two business arms – the security arm (the Aviation Security Service) which provides aviation security services at airports across New Zealand and the regulatory arm, which is responsible for the safety oversight of the civil aviation system.
About the role
The role of the Scheduler is to perform short term planning for all five airports that the Aviation Security Service operates from within New Zealand. You will work on a 24 hour; 7 day a week shift cycle and process all operational changes to the rostering system each day.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Scheduler will be responsible for a range of activities including:
- Using our rostering management system, Quintiq to assign duties to meet operational demand
- Work within the workforce planning process
- Act as an advisor to the operation and recommend solutions for efficiency and effectiveness
Skills and experience
You will have experience at using Quintiq and be comfortable and able to work in a 24 hour; 7 day a week rostering environment. With excellent communication skills you will be able to build relationships with a wide range of people across the operation and provide sound advice to support them in their role.
The National Rostering Centre is located at Aintree Avenue near Auckland Airport, with free parking available to staff.
