The Aviation Security Service (Avsec) is the official provider of aviation security services in New Zealand. Avsec and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of New Zealand work together under the umbrella of 'The Authority' to support the organisation in achieving its primary outcome of safe and secure skies for New Zealand.

We have an exciting opportunity available for a sourcing specialist to join our recruitment team on a fixed term basis until June 2020. We are looking for somebody who can tell our story and market us as the attractive employer we are. This will include defining our target markets for identifying suitable candidates for different vacacies. A strong marketing background for this vacancy is essential combined with some knowledge around employer branding and potentially recruitment.

The organisation is in a significant growth phase and the recruitment team is working to significant targets to enable that growth within the workforce. You will be able to design and implement a comprehensive candidate engagement strategy, and create a vision that engages internal stakeholders. We need somebody who can tell our story and engage the passive candidates that have not considered working for the Aviation Security Service before as we know that many people don’t fully understand our role or confuse us with other border agencies. If you have got experience designing innovative campaigns to increase our talent pool and candidate flow we would love to hear from you.

You will work on leading recruitment research and market mapping projects for vacancies within Avsec and CAA. As a sourcing specialist, you will create, implement and execute pro-active sourcing projects for a wide variety of roles. This position provides variety with the two business arms being distinctively different in their needs. Avsec has a lot of high-volume, bulk recruitment and CAA a lot of hard-to-find niche and technical vacancies. Over time, you will build and develop talent pipelines for frequently hired roles.

To be successful in this role you will have a strong recruitment marketing / advertising background , including experience using social media platforms and other online resources. This position can be located in Wellington or Christchurch.
