PART TIME Aviation Security Officer

We are seeking to appoint officers into Part-Time roles at Dunedin Airport from March 2019

You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including split shifts and on weekends, religious and public holidays and can expect to work a minimum of 5 hours per day, 6 days on, 3 days off. We offer competitive pay and 4 weeks of holidays per annum.

Aviation Security Officers are responsible for:

  • Pre-departure searches of passengers and their check-in and carry-on baggage
  • Airport access controls
  • Screening of airport workers
  • Administrative and associated tasks

The Assessment Centre for this position will likely be on the 16th January and interviews on the 17th January, applicants would need to be available to attend those dates if shortlisted.

In order to be successful in securing a position, applicants will have to complete and pass a pre-employment medical examination, security check, and the basic training course, including a law exam.

Note: Due to the requirements of the position, colour blind individuals are not able to be considered.  Applicants who have applied in the last 12 months and have been unsuccessful from assessment centre stage onwards need not apply.
